Amanju was a Cardian released by Ail with the mission of gathering energy from Mamoru Chiba in order to revive the Makaiju.
Amanju, who looked like a traditional Japanese demon, was a very strong Cardian who would smash roofs, walls, and windows by jumping through them. She only attacked her opponents with her hands. She had a tendency to do the opposite of what Ail ordered her to do.

- Her name could be a pun on the Amanojaku from Japanese folklore.
- Her name appeared as "アマーンジュ" in the credits for the episode in which she appeared and in the Sailor Moon R Memorial, but was spelled "アーマンジュ" in the Sailor Moon R Nakayoshi Anime Album.
