Reika in Crystal
In the anime, she attended Azabu Technical College. She left Japan twice in order to study abroad, resulting in a long distance relationship between herself and Motoki. The second time, she left the country for ten years, but Motoki was still willing to wait for her.

In the manga and Crystal, Reika did not leave the country and simply attended the same university as Motoki. She also met Setsuna Meiou there and became friends with her.

She did not appear in the live-action series, as Motoki's character was revamped there and he instead pursued Makoto Kino.

Trivia[edit]

  • In the "all characters" picture in the third artbook, Reika was drawn with blonde hair.
  • Reika was attacked by a different enemy in all three episodes of the anime in which she appeared.
  • In several dubs Reika was given more than one name. In the Portuguese dub, Reika was called "Rute" when she appeared for the first time in episode 29, "Raquel" in episode 41, and then in the SuperS season her original Japanese name was used instead. A similar situation occurred in the Latin American Spanish dub, where she was "Wanda" when she appeared for the first time and her original name was used in SuperS. In the French dub, Reika was called "Prisca" when she first appeared, while in the SuperS season her name was changed to "Marine." In the first English dub, the name "Rita" was used throughout the series, except for one instance in episode 140 where she was called by her Japanese name.
