Sailor Quartet
The Sailor Quartet in the manga |
The Sailor Quartet (セーラーカルテット), sometimes referred to by the fanon term Asteroid Senshi, appeared in the manga, musicals, and Crystal. They were four Sailor Senshi who were to awaken as Chibiusa's bodyguards when she took on the role of Sailor Chibi Moon. They represented four of the asteroids in the Solar System's asteroid belt that were at one point in time classified as planets. Their names were Sailor Vesta, Sailor Pallas, Sailor Ceres, and Sailor Juno.
They were prematurely awakened in the Dream arc of the manga and in Sailor Moon Eternal by the Dead Moon and recruited as the villainesses CereCere, PallaPalla, JunJun, and VesVes (the Amazoness Quartet). In the manga and Crystal, after the Dead Moon was defeated, their true Senshi forms were revealed. In the anime, the Amazoness Quartet appeared in the Sailor Moon SuperS season but did not become Senshi.
Trivia[edit]
- In Sailor Moon Cosmos, pink, blue, green, and red roses appeared in front of the Sailor Quartet as they gave their introductory speech.
- Some fans have referred to the sailor fuku worn by the Sailor Quartet as "Eternal" forms, but although there were similarities to the Eternal forms of the Inner and Outer Senshi, there were also a number of differences: the Sailor Quartet's chokers were straight instead of V-shaped and did not have a gold five-pointed star attached to them, their puff sleeves and the two patches of fabric attached to the bottom were white instead of being colored in their respective dominant colors, their gloves did not have V-shaped wristbands with a gold five-pointed star on each of them, their belts were shaped like those on the main Solar System Senshi's original fuku, their skirts were not multi-layered, they did not have two long, thin back ribbons, and their earrings were the ones they also wore as the Amazoness Quartet instead of dangling five-pointed stars (except for VesVes/Sailor Vesta). They were also never referred to as "Eternal" in canon.
