This article is about the battle song from the musicals. For the wars between the Sailor Senshi and Chaos, see Sailor Wars.

Sailor War was a battle song from the musicals. Versions of this song were used in musicals spanning from the first, Sailor Moon - Gaiden Dark Kingdom Fukkatsu Hen, to the last, Shin Kaguya Shima Densetsu (Kaiteiban) - Marinamoon Final, making it one of the most popular Sera Myu songs.

Song Details[edit]

The original version of this song was performed by the members of Sakurakko Club, who originally portrayed the Inner Senshi in the first musicals. It was heavily synthesized, and used only as a service number in the first musical. In the actual show itself, the orchestral version was used.

The version used in all of the subsequent musicals not only has a different arrangement, with the background music played by an orchestra, but had a completely different melody. The song has a brisk pace, with strings being used for most of the song, with call-and-response brass and woodwind flourishes, and some small instances of electric guitars.

The song was composed by Gouji Tsuno and arranged by Yuzo Hayashi, with lyrics by Kayoko Fuyumori. Akiko Kosaka later revised this song under the title "Sailor War '94."

Lyrics[edit]

Japanese[edit]

War!

Trivia[edit]

  • "Sailor War Supreme" is a variation of this song, with many of the same lyrics and melodies used throughout.
  • Ai no Sanctuary also used a version titled "Sailor War! 2002." The only difference between this version and the original is the vocal arrangement.
