Talk:Pluto Planet Power, Make Up
I was wondering if anyone has an image from the middle of the sequence, rather than the beginning. I just personally think it would be more suitable. GracieLizzie 04:46, 8 August 2006 (MST)
Uhhh I noticed that, sorry... For Uranus and Neptune I put images from the middle of the transformation, so Pluto shouldn't be an exception either... I'll add a pic these days. ^^--85.217.214.15 17:05, 11 August 2006 (MST)
Transformation description[edit]
There are two things I have an issue with in the describing of Pluto's henshin. The first is the "silver energy" bit. Pausing the scene when the "silver energy" is on screen, you'll notice that there are many tiny specs of glitter and such. Someone once said that the "silver energy" is the "sands of time". Uranus had a yellow wind surround her. Neptune had a blue tower of water surround her. It would only make sense and follow suit if Pluto had her element surround her.
I have screen shots of the "silver energy" in which it seems there are shards of glass in it. Here and here.
The second thing is the "bubbles" forming her lipstick. I don't see bubble at all, I just see sparkles. Dosei No Senshi 07:15, 12 March 2007 (MST)
- "Someone" said? Who said? If it's not canon, don't put it in there. And I don't care on the bubble/sparkle thing, they all have that weird little thingey when their lipstick appears, so as long as we're consistent in description. And I don't quite see the "shards of glass" thing or the significance thereof... Kerochan no Miko 20:11, 12 March 2007 (MST)
- Found it! Here under Senshi Powers they refer to the energy as a sand-like circle. That's where I heard it and I understand the lack of evidence that it's actually sand, but I'm also no just spouting it out of my ass. The energy looks like sand. It makes sense to have sand wrapping around her just as sea water was around Neptune and wind around Uranus. Random silver energy doesn't fit that scheme, right? I think the glass-looking shards are like little pieces of sand. It's not whether it's canon or not, more like what each person sees the "silver energy" as. Dosei No Senshi 21:30, 12 March 2007 (MST)
- Personally, I don't trust very much on Wikipedia these days. It just looks like silver stuff to me - it could be sand, water, styrofoam pellets, or stardust, so I don't see a reason to specify what it is if we don't know. That's how edit wars get started. Kerochan no Miko 07:10, 13 March 2007 (MST)
- Well, maybe we could put something like "a spiral of a dust-like material" or just "a spiral of silver dust". Giratina000 16:29, 10 January 2013 (MST)
- As stated above in the conversation, that's a personal interpretation, and opinion has no place in articles. Kerochan no Miko 18:08, 10 January 2013 (MST)
Item Required[edit]
We know for sure that Setsuna uses her own version of a Lip Rod to transform into Sailor Pluto in the anime, but what about the manga? Can we add "none (manga)" to the "Item Required" row like we do for the other Planet Power transformations? Because the only times she used that phrase in the manga I could find were in Kaguya-hime no Koibito and Setsuna's flashback to the solar eclipse in the Dream arc, but it was not possible to see whether she was holding an item in her hand or not. So I'm not sure whether saying she didn't use an item in that continuity at all would be considered assuming things without proof.
Also, if we were to add "none (manga)", should we extend it to "none (manga, Crystal)" straightaway? Because although she was never seen transforming successfully with Planet Power in previous Crystal seasons, she did attempt to transform with it in the flashback in Sailor Moon Eternal. Also, in Eternal, we could clearly see that she was not using any item to transform, so at least we've got proof for that continuity. But I don't know if an unsuccessful transformation counts, hence my question. PrinceEarth (talk) 16:33, 8 November 2021 (EST)
- I don't see how this situation is any different from Uranus or Neptune's transformations. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 20:21, 8 November 2021 (EST)
- Yeah, you're right. Thanks for adding the info! PrinceEarth (talk) 04:43, 10 November 2021 (EST)
