- The part I took out was with his very hands— saying that he crushed the crystal is true, but when you say he "crushed it with his very hands" then it's a little unnecessarily verbose and kind of dramatic. - I imagined it would sound a bit like that. Actually, before saving the edit, I re-read it several times and I still thought it sounded a bit funny... but like I said, I'm not complaining. Honestly, this is the first time I use "very" in English in that sense; I had to double-check wordreference and all. ^^; Also, I'm the last person you'll see writing a fanfic-ish article.
