Talk:Zoyrin Geller

Does anyone know why we're using "Doringelars" for ゾイリンゲラー? The Sailor Moon Memorial confirms that the first character is ゾ and not ド and since nobody actually knows what it's supposed to mean anyway.... Apparently the ADV subs use "Zoyrin Gellar" which also makes no sense but at least is semi-official. Kerochan no Miko 17:41, 5 July 2011 (MST)

This has been discussed on the "Youma: Talk Page:" twice

http://wikimoon.org/index.php?title=Talk:Youma, it has never come to any sort of agreement. Zoiringeraa, the direct romanization is your other option though. Cartwheelingfiesta 21:29, 5 July 2011 (MST)

Yes, which is why I brought it up for discussion here. Since I didn't make it clear earlier, I suggest moving this article to Zoyrin Gellar since it's about as official as the romanization is going to get. Kerochan no Miko 22:10, 5 July 2011 (MST)
Correction: the ADV subs were "Zoyrin Geller" so it was moved accordingly. Also in the Youma talk page someone mentioned that it could be the surnames of the two characters because pair figure skaters are referred to by their two last names, but I haven't found anything to back that up. It would make sense, but at the moment it's speculation unless someone knows of a source? Kerochan no Miko 02:33, 7 July 2011 (MST)

Okay, bringing this up again because the Viz subs use "Zoilingeller". Do we want to change the name of the article? None of the options really make any sense, but I personally like to favor Viz over ADV because they're being a little more conscientious about their translations, plus they're the most recent.
