Zircon was a creature that appeared in the fourth season of the anime, the Dream arc of the manga, and Sailor Moon Eternal. It had the appearance of a winged red eyeball that was constantly on fire. It seemed to be a sentient being under the command of Zirconia.
It usually remained hovering atop Zirconia's staff, but it would also fly off to obtain images of targets for the Dead Moon or spy for Zirconia. It was able to capture images and "develop" them into physical form. Damage caused by a blunt whack from VesVes resulted in a blurry "print" of one target.
In episode 162, Zirconia used Zircon to release a person's Dream Mirror in the same fashion that the Amazoness Quartet used their Amazon Stones.
