The mysterious Sailor Senshi delivers her warning to Sailor Moon, kisses her on the lips, and then disappears into the night. When the other Inner Senshi arrive, they find Sailor Moon staring after her, stunned.

Back at the Secret Base, the cats ask Usagi about the Senshi she spoke to. Usagi says she warned them not to get in her way, and insists that was all. As Minako talks about how they don't even know if that was a real Senshi, Usagi notices a magazine with Haruka on the cover.

Back at her home, Usagi looks at the magazine and remembers both the strange Senshi and Haruka calling her "odango." She drifts off to sleep and dreams of Haruka, who kisses her, then turns into the Senshi and turns to run away. Usagi calls after her, and the Senshi says that she has only so much time to the the Talismans. Hotaru, the other Inner Senshi, and Mamoru hear the same words in their dreams, saying that they must gather the Talismans for the god of destruction. After Rei wakes, she wonders if they should not collect the Talismans.

Usagi walks to school, still thinking about her dream, and is shaken from her reverie by Mamoru's greeting. As they walk together she sees a poster for Michiru's concert, and notices that Mamoru is looking at it as well. She wonders why he is interested in Michiru.

In the Secret Base, the moon cats read an article about construction in the Sankakusu and the completion of a new concert hall opening on Mugen Academy campus.

Usagi goes to the Game Center Crown after school and sees Haruka outside. Though Usagi's friends said to stay away, Haruka still wanted to see her. Usagi remembers her dream, and thinks that she sees Haruka as both a man and a woman. She notes that Haruka and Michiru are both very famous, and Haruka says that if she hears Michiru play she will love it, then gives her tickets to the concert. A sudden gust of wind comes up, forcing Usagi to shield her face, and when she lowers her arm again Haruka has disappeared. Mamoru watches Usagi from a short distance away.

Once inside the arcade Usagi finds her friends were discussing the dream they all had the night before about Talismans. They overhear some other students looking at a poster for a concert featuring the idol Mimi Hanyuu, dismayed that it is only for students at the school. Minako waxes ecstatic about the super-famous idol, and suggests that they sneak into the concert to scout around. Usagi suggests that they go to Michiru's concert instead, since she has tickets for everyone. Mamoru enters at the tail end of the conversation and looks, abashed, at the pair of tickets Michiru gave him.

Kaolinite stares at an image of Eudial fighting the Sailor Senshi in her pool, wondering at how easily the Senshi defeated one of the Witches 5. She thinks that Sailor Moon's power is similar to that of the Taioron Crystal, which makes her desire it. First, though, she needs to find the three Talismans in order to destroy them. The image of Mimete appears in the pool, and she promises that, in her guise as Mimi Hanyuu, she will obtain souls for their master, Pharaoh 90. Kaolinite warns her to be prepared for the interference of the Sailor Senshi, and Mimete only smiles and says to leave it to her.

Momoko shows Chibiusa photos of their trip to the amusement park, which reminds her of how she met Hotaru. She realizes that she hasn't yet returned Hotaru's handkerchief, and goes to wait near the Tomoe Research Laboratory in the hope that Hotaru will walk by. When she does arrive, Chibiusa thanks her for the other day, and Hotaru invites her inside. Chibiusa admires the lamps in Hotaru's room, and Hotaru says that she likes dim light. She goes on to explain that she was in an accident years before and has a lot of scars. Hotaru suddenly collapses in another fit, and asks Chibiusa to bring her amulet. When she does, Hotaru tells her to go home, because she shouldn't be around someone like Hotaru. Chibiusa takes out her brooch and removes the Silver Crystal inside. In its warm light, Hotaru begins to feel much better, and she asks if that is Chibiusa's "amulet" - an object with mysterious powers that protects her. Chibiusa agrees and says it can protect Hotaru as well. Hotaru promises that she won't tell anyone about the crystal, or that she is Sailor Chibi Moon, then admits that the monster probably escaped from her father's lab, because of the horrible research work he is doing. She insists that he is not evil, though, and asks Chibiusa not to tell anyone.

As the girls talk, Haruka and Michiru sit in a tree outside, watching them through the window.

When Chibiusa leaves she realizes that it has become dark, and wonders if she should call Usagi or Mamoru. A helicopter arrives and lands nearby, and Haruka, dressed in feminine clothing, leans out with an offer to give her a ride home because they are friends of Usagi's. As they fly, Haruka asks what she was talking to Hotaru about, and Chibiusa replies that they were talking about amulets, and how she and Hotaru both have amulets that protect them. Michiru holds up her mirror and says that it protects her, but it's called a talisman.

The helicopter arrives at the Tsukino home, attracting the attention of the neighborhood, and Usagi goes outside to investigate. As Chibiusa climbs out of the helicopter, Haruka says that what they talked about is a secret. When Usagi arrives Haruka bids the two of them farewell, calling them "Odango." Stunned, Usagi watches the helicopter go.

At the concert hall, Chibiusa sees a poster for Michiru's concert and realizes that she was one of the women in the helicopter. She runs up to join Mamoru just as Usagi and her friends walk by, and are startled to see the two of them at the concert as well. Mamoru admits that Michiru gave him tickets, and was going to ask Usagi to go but she already had a ticket of her own.

When the concert begins, Usagi thinks that Michiru's music makes her feel as though she were at the bottom of the sea. She spots Haruka standing off to one side as Makoto notices that Minako has disappeared.

Outside, Minako uses her compact to disguise herself as a Mugen Academy student and sneaks into Mimi Hanyuu's concert. As the idol begins her next song, though, telling the students to devote themselves to Pharaoh 90, a black star appears above the stage as another reveals itself on Mimi's forehead. Minako can feel herself falling under the spell and staggers outside.

Michiru's concert ends unexpectedly, and Usagi's communicator suddenly turns on with a warning from Minako about Mimi Hanyuu.

Minako transforms into Sailor Venus and bursts into the hall, interrupting Mimete's spell, and uses Venus Wink Chain Sword to destroy the black star above the stage. Mimete creates three Daimons from students, and Sailor Venus orders the rest to escape. Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Mercury arrive and use Mars Snake Fire, Jupiter Coconut Cyclone, and Mercury Aqua Mirage against the Daimons, stunning them so that Sailor Moon can use Moon Spiral Heart Attack to destroy them.

The infuriated Mimete sends an attack at Sailor Chibi Moon and Tuxedo Mask, but before it can reach them someone calls out, "Deep Submerge" and it is destroyed. Someone else cries out, "World Shaking" and Mimete disappears in a burst of light. Everyone turns and finds the two unfamiliar Sailor Senshi, who introduce themselves as Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus.
