Summary
Usagi sits on the edge of the bed, wondering why Mamoru is here. She asks him where they are, and he replies, "my place". She looks past his shoulder into the next room and sees a cape, top hat, and mask resting in a pile on the couch. Still incredulous, Usagi walks over to the pile and picks up the mask, placing it over Mamoru's eyes. She then realizes the truth that Mamoru is Tuxedo Mask.
He explains to Usagi that he needs the Silver Crystal to regain his memory. When he was six years old, his family was in a car accident. Both his parents were killed, and he lost his memory. All he knew was that the doctors told him his name was Mamoru Chiba. The only clues to his past are his dreams, where a mysterious woman tells him to find the Silver Crystal.
Mamoru then asks Usagi why she is looking for the Crystal. She has no explanation other than Luna having told her to find it. They stare at each other, something growing between them. But, then Usagi realizes she must go find Luna. On her way out, Mamoru calls her "Usako" and hands Usagi her bag. As she's walking down the street, she remembers his pocket-watch and holds it. Back in his apartment, Mamoru is holding Usagi's handkerchief.
In the control room, Luna tells someone that the Senshi are awakened, but do not have their memories back. Usagi especially must remember. But, the person insists they must continue without hesitation because the enemy is getting stronger.
Back in the Dark Kingdom, Zoisite and Kunzite remember how Sailor Moon returned all of the stolen energy to the people of the city, thinking she may carry the Silver Crystal. Queen Beryl goes into a chamber and offers some captured energy to her master, Queen Metalia. A monstrous, gaseous form, Queen Metalia eagerly sucks in the small amount of energy and demands the Silver Crystal. Queen Beryl protests, blaming the Sailor Senshi, to which Metalia replies the Sailor Senshi were the ones to seal her away so long ago. She warns Beryl not to let the heir to the Moon Kingdom to awaken and tells her to bring the Crystal whose power will revive her.
Queen Metalia vanishes. Beryl contemplates how, although powerless now, Metalia will destroy the entire planet when revived. It seemed her fate was sealed when she stumbled upon the ruins of the Dark Kingdom at the North Pole. She set the evil free by herself. But, she herself wants the Silver Crystal so that she may rule the planet. Queen Beryl sends Zoisite to retrieve the Crystal from the Sailor Senshi.
Naru runs into her friends Yumiko and Kuri at the video store. She's renting a movie because Usagi has been too busy lately. The "Dark Video" chain has been popping up everywhere, and their large selection has made them popular.
A couple on the street talk about watching videos from the Dark Video store as Rei walks past them. The woman comments that "They say Sailor Moon is hiding the Silver Crystal". Rei senses evil.
At lunch, Ami, Makoto and Usagi eat outside together. Ami brings up data about Sailor V on her computer. They notice the crescent-moon shape mark on her forehead and wonder about a connection with the Moon Kingdom. Although Luna doesn't sense anything about her, they wonder about Usagi having the power to sense something. Ami thinks that since Usagi is the leader of the Sailor Senshi she may have special powers.
Usagi is surprised to think she may have special powers. She dismisses the Moon Stick healing as "special power" because it was Tuxedo Mask who helped her. Although she feels she should tell the Sailor Senshi about Mamoru being Tuxedo Mask, Usagi decides not to. She is still unsure of herself and wants to hide how she feels.
Luna joins the group, having finished in the control room, and asks Usagi why she isn't eating lunch with Naru. Usagi forgot about her friend and comments how Naru has been acting strange lately, along with the rest of her class. Luna goes into a classroom and snatches a school bag from the side of a desk. She discovers a Dark Video tape inside.
Usagi and Ami go to the video arcade after school. Motoki tells them the place is empty since so many people are renting videos. Luna goes over to the Sailor V game and tells Usagi to put in the tape, she set it up to play videos. They insert the tape and a bright light flashes, and then the tape is spit back out. Sailor V comes on the screen, telling Sailor Moon to save everyone. In the control room, Ami realizes the tape is a brainwashing tape to make everyone hunt down Sailor Moon for the Silver Crystal.
The brainwashed mob searches the city for Sailor Moon. She appears before them and uses Moon Healing Escalation to restore the people from the evil influence. Zoisite appears and Sailor Moon uses Moon Twilight Flash but he evades it and comes up behind Sailor Moon, grabbing around her neck, demanding the Silver Crystal. Sailor Mars and Jupiter attack, but it is useless and their energy is thrown back at them. Sailor Moon grasps Mamoru's pocket-watch. Tuxedo Mask stands watching, but can do nothing, since he cannot get through the barrier surrounding them. Just as Zoisite is about to kill Sailor Moon, a voice tells her to get down and a crescent shape flies through the air, slicing Zoisite. Sailor Moon looks up, seeing a new Sailor Soldier with a white cat. Could it be Sailor V?
