Burning Mandala |
Burning Mandala was an attack used by Sailor Mars. To perform it, she would move her hand in a circle motion around her body, creating a ring of fire. The ring then turns into eight smaller rings that fly towards the enemy.
Mandala ("Mandara" in Romanized Japanese) is a Buddhist term imported from China in kanji characters (曼荼羅), but which originated in Indian Sanskrit.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon
Sailor Mars also used this attack once in the live-action series, against Mamoru when he had been possessed by Metalia. In this version, eight globes encircled her and a mandala appeared behind her, but instead of rings of fire, the attack took the form of a large burst of flame.
Video Games
This attack was also used in Sailor Moon: Another Story.
