Episode trivia

• There were a lot of shots of fish throughout the episode. This was a visual pun, since the Japanese word used for "love" (恋; koi) in this episode is pronounced the same way as the word for "carp" (鯉; koi).

• When Chibiusa appeared in her princess form at the beginning of the episode, the crescent moon symbol was missing from her forehead.

• The song "Watashi-tachi ni Naritakute" played in the background of this episode. In the first English dub, the song was translated into English as "Wanting to Be Us‎." The song was also dubbed in the German, Catalan, and Italian versions of the anime. In the French dub the song was left in instrumental form. In the Korean dub the song was replaced with an instrumental jazz version. In the Hungarian dub the song was taken out completely.

• In the German dub, Usagi telling the other girls and Mamoru that Chibiusa said she was on the phone with Momoko was changed to Chibiusa having told Bunny she had a phone call with Mamoru, which she thought was suspicious. Mamoru then asked her whether she thought it might have been someone else Chibiusa really talked to, even though he should know if Chibiusa talked to him or not.
