After Sailor Neptune is captured and possibly killed by Kaolinite, Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus find themselves shackled together and are forced to reassess their attitudes toward each other.

Episode trivia[edit]
- There was a sign at the race with an advertisement for Toei.
- There was also a tent at the festival which had "Endo" written on it. This was probably a reference to Yuji Endo, the director of this episode.
- Kaolinite displayed her power to use her hair as a weapon for the first time in this episode.
- The pact between Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune was explained in this episode.
- When Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus were handcuffed together, the cuffs were attached to Sailor Moon's right wrist and to Sailor Uranus' left wrist. However, when they were in the cave and Sailor Uranus was trying to pull the cuff off, it was attached to her right wrist.
- In the original English dub, Sailor Moon and Kaolinite both referred to Sailor Neptune as Sailor Uranus's "cousin" and as "family" as if they already knew the civilian identities of the two Sailor Senshi, even though this was not the case.
- In the Spanish dub, when Sailor Moon asked Sailor Uranus to scratch her back they called each other by their civilian names, as though they already knew each other's secret identity.
- Clear frontal shots of Taiyan were cut from the Korean dub, and the scenes with Sailor Neptune being held hostage by Kaolinite were trimmed.
