Hoste (or sometimes Pure Hoste) was a term used in the manga and musicals by the Death Busters to refer to human souls or the energy from them. This was what they sought for to give to their master, Pharaoh 90.

In the musicals, Hoste were first refered to in Mugen Gakuen - Mistress Labyrinth, and in its revision the term "Seitai" (聖体; Holy Body) was also used to refer to human souls.

Trivia

  • The kanji associated with this term in the manga was "聖体" (holy body), which refers to the Christian Eucharist, the Catholic version of which uses sacramental bread known as the "host."
