Makoto's sempai in the anime |
Makoto's sempai ("sempai," or "senpai," meaning "senior student") was a boy Makoto had a crush on sometime before she appeared in the series. He broke her heart but she still compared most of the attractive men she met to him. In the English dub, he was identified as Lita's ex-boyfriend, Freddy.
Trivia
- In Act 28 of the manga, Makoto referred to a "Nichogi-sempai," though it was unclear whether this was the name of the "sempai" she often spoke of.
- In "Casablanca Memory," Makoto said that she and a female friend competed over a guy and she lost, but it was unclear if this was a reference to her sempai.
