Mercury Aqua Mist was Sailor Mercury's first attack in the live-action series, the reprint version of the manga, and Sailor Moon Crystal.

Manga

In the original version of the manga, Sailor Mercury's first attack did not have a name, but it created a dense fog similar to that produced by Sabão Spray in the anime. In the reprint of the manga, it was given this name, possibly to bring it in line with the attacks in the live-action series; since the Kodansha English release was based on the reprint version, it also used that name.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

In the live-action series, Mercury Aqua Mist was Sailor Mercury's first attack, and was offensive in nature. To perform it, she would spread her arms wide, then cross her wrists above her head and spin around several times. Then she spread her arms again and brought them in front of herself so her palms were one above the other, sending out a spray of water that struck her target.

Sailor Moon Crystal

In Act 2 of Sailor Moon Crystal, Sailor Mercury first used this attack to distract a Youma that was about to attack Sailor Moon. To perform this attack, Sailor Mercury generally summoned two or more spheres of blue energy that swirled around, then coalesced, dissolving into clouds of fog.

In other episodes, such as Act 8, it was also used as an offensive attack.
