After a pair of aliens begin wreaking havoc in Tokyo, Luna and Artemis are forced to restore Usagi's memories, reawakening her as Sailor Moon.

Summary

It has been two months since the battle against Queen Metalia, and Usagi rushes off to school late, as usual. Luna and Artemis watch her go, and observe that all the Inner Senshi have gone back to being normal girls.

At school, Usagi is made to stand in the hallway for being late. Ami sees her and greets her sympathetically.

That night, Usagi is awakened by a bright light as a shooting star streaks past. Not far away, the meteor levitates out of its impact crater and floats up to an empty apartment nearby. A crowd forms around the crater, including Luna, Artemis, Rei, Minako, Makoto, Mamoru, Usagi, and Ami. Usagi is quickly distracted by a advertisement for a sale on snacks, and Mamoru overhears and teases her about how she'll soon become as round as an odango, matching her hair.

Ail and An stand on the balcony of their new apartment, observing that this planet is full of energy. The two of them talk, and Ail begins to play his flute.

The next day in school, two new transfer students have arrived: Seijuurou Ginga and Natsumi Ginga. Naru and Usagi immediately develop crushes on Seijuurou, and all the boys in the class crowd around An. Ail begins to play his flute to show off for the girls, which makes Natsumi angry. He sees Usagi and offers to play a song just for her, but sees Natsumi glaring at him and leaves instead. Usagi glances at Natsumi and is surprised when the girl glares at her.

As Natsumi and Seijuurou walk home, they are annoyed at each other; Seijuurou says that they are brother and sister in public, so he's allowed to flirt, but Natsumi is angry that he always acts that way around girls. They pass Mamoru on the sidewalk then, and Natsumi, suddenly smitten, follows after him. As she walks, though, she suddenly feels faint and collapses, saying that she needs energy.

Usagi excitedly talks on the phone with Naru about Seijuurou, while Luna wonders why she feels so uneasy.

At the Juuban Odyssey apartments, Ail sits on a limb of the Makaiju, playing his flute. A drop of sap comes out of a branch of the tree and falls onto the unconscious An, and she begins to glow, then opens her eyes again. Once revived, she joins Ail on his branch. The two of them notice that the tree is beginning to wither because it is running out of energy. They observe that this planet is full of energy, ready for them to use. An picks out a Cardian to use, saying that it is best to steal energy from young women in love. Ail plays his flute to summon the Cardian Vampir.

Luna and Artemis hear a scream and come running, and find a woman in an alley who had her energy drained. Artemis thinks they should revive the Sailor Senshi, but Luna refuses, because they just became normal again.

Vampir attacks a woman outside of Naru's house, and Naru, hearing her scream, opens the window and looks out. Vampir attacks Naru and drains her energy, but not before the girl asks Usagi for help over the phone. The cats try to attack the Cardian but have no success. Usagi then arrives, followed by Naru's mother, who faints upon seeing the monster. Luna tells Usagi to run, but Usagi is too stunned by the fact that her cat is talking to her. She decides that she must be dreaming, and if so, she should be the strongest person in the world, and thus confronts the monster instead of running.

The Cardian attacks Usagi and begins to drain her energy, but Artemis distracts it and leaps out the window to draw it away. Luna realizes that she has no choice; she apologizes, then reawakens Usagi's memories. Once her memories have been returned, Usagi transforms into Sailor Moon.

Outside, Vampir catches Artemis and begins to drain his energy, but is stopped by an annoyed Sailor Moon. After a brief confrontation, the Cardian traps the Senshi and begins to drain her energy, but Luna bites Vampir's arm and forces her to let Sailor Moon go. Sailor Moon then uses Moon Tiara Action to destroy the Cardian, and the energy it drained returns to its victims. Ail and An appear and tell the Senshi that they were only just beginning.

Once they have vanished, Sailor Moon stares sadly up at the sky, bidding farewell to "ordinary Usagi."
