Moon Tiara Action was Sailor Moon's most basic attack, consisting of her tiara thrown like a frisbee. In the English dub it was used with the phrase "Moon Tiara Magic." Sailor Moon could stop the movement of her tiara mid-throw although it took a lot of effort. The tiara automatically reappeared back on her forehead after attacking. In episode 10 of the anime, it was shown that the tiara was also capable of expanding and then shrinking to trap an enemy in a ring of light.
Sailor Moon mainly used Moon Tiara Action in the first season. In the R season, the attack stopped working as a finishing move, and she received a new weapon: the Cutie Moon Rod. After this she did not use this attack very often, though it was used in the Sailor Moon R movie and Sailor Moon SuperS movie, and then a couple of times during the Sailor Moon S and SuperS seasons, as a distracting and harming maneuver. After she became Eternal Sailor Moon, she no longer had a tiara; however, in episode 184 she performed "Moon Tiara Action" using a pizza as a weapon.
Trivia
- Even though this attack stopped working as a finishing move against most monsters in Sailor Moon R, Sailor Moon used it in the Sailor Moon SuperS movie to destroy a Bonbon Baby.
- In the Cloverway dub, this attack usually kept its name, but in episode 156 of the English dub, it was called "Moon Tiara Magic."
