Nekonneru was the Daimon created in Kaolinite's second attempt to retrieve a Pure Heart Crystal for Professor Tomoe. She took the form of a purple catgirl that climbed from a jigsaw puzzle while Usagi and Mamoru took care of some stray cats at an abandoned house. When a part of her body was hit by an attack, it would turn into puzzle pieces which would drop off and then re-form. Her target was Miharu, a young girl who had been taking care of the cats as well.

- The "Neko" part of her name means "cat" (猫).
- Nekonneru was the second monster-of-the-day based on a cat, the first being the Youma Bakene.
