Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal (美少女戦士セーラームーン クリスタル) is the title of the new Sailor Moon anime series which began July 5, 2014.
The production of a new animated series was announced during the 20th anniversary celebration of Sailor Moon in July 2012, but due to unexplained delays it did not air for another two years. This anime series was more faithful to the original manga than the original, with episodes matching one-to-one with acts of the manga.
The series is available worldwide on NicoNico, with subtitled presentations in ten languages (Traditional and Simplified Chinese, English, French, Korean, German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Portuguese, Indonesian, and Malay). In the North American, European, and Latin American markets, it is streamed with English, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles on Crunchyroll. In the United States, Viz Media's Hulu channel, Neon Alley, is streaming it both subtitled and dubbed, and in Canada, Tubi TV is streaming it subtitled only. In late 2015, Neon Alley uploaded the first episodes of the English dub of Crystal, which was produced at Studiopolis.
The series currently airs on six regional television stations in Japan, including Tokyo MX.
