Sailor Moon: Japanese Superheroes for Global Girls is a chapter by Anne Allison in a book called "Japan Pop!: Inside the World of Japanese Popular Culture", edited by Timothy J. Craig, published in 2000.
In Sailor Moon: Japanese Superheroes for Global Girls, Allison examines the dichotomies in Sailor Moon, for example between female and warrior. Allison also compares the localisation of Sailor Moon to Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, and suggests that Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was more successful than Sailor Moon due to its higher level of localisation.
