Sailor Moon S

Sailor Moon S refers to the third season of the Sailor Moon anime.

Summary

The Sailor Senshi face a new enemy called the Death Busters led by Professor Souichi Tomoe who are seeking pure heart crystals to find three talismans. The newly-introduced Outer Senshi, Sailor Uranus (Haruka Tenoh) and Sailor Neptune (Michiru Kaioh) are also seeking the talismans. Later, the Senshi are joined by Chibiusa who has become Sailor Chibi Moon.

The Talismans are eventually discovered to reside in Sailors Uranus and Neptune, as well as the third outer Senshi Sailor Pluto (now living in present-day Earth as Setsuna Meioh). These Talismans summon the Holy Grail which is used by Sailor Moon to become Super Sailor Moon. Chibiusa then befriends Professor Tomoe's daughter Hotaru. The outer senshi are concerned because they believe that Hotaru is the Messiah of Silence and this becomes a point of contention with the inner Senshi.

The climax happens at Mugen Academy where Hotaru is revealed to be the host of Mistress 9, the true Messiah of Silence. However, Hotaru manages to break through and awakens as Sailor Saturn and with the help of Super Sailor Moon, saves the world.
