The anime was adapted into Polish from the French dub, and was given a voiceover translation, with the Japanese voices still audible in the background, rather than a true re-dub. It aired under the title "Czarodziejka z Księżyca" (Enchantress from the Moon) on the TV station Polsat from 1994-1997, then again in 2000-2001. The series was also later broadcast by the station Polsat 2. Polsat also aired the Sailor Moon R movie. All three movies and three SuperS specials were released on VHS by Planet Manga, and the Sailor Moon S movie was also released on DVD and included with the magazine Gry Komputerowe (Computer Games). "Make up! Sailor Senshi" and "Ami's First Love" were never officially released in Poland.

Censorship and Changes
* The Sailor Senshi were called "czarodziejki" (enchantress). For the first two seasons and the first part of Sailor Moon S, however, Sailor Jupiter's name remained "Jupiter" instead of being translated into Polish. Sailor Uranus's name was changed to "Uranos" in episode 92, but in all following episodes it was correctly translated as "Uran."
+
* Episodes 45, 46, and 133 were never aired by Polsat or Polsat 2. The first two were later aired by TV4.

* Episodes 45, 46, and 133 were never aired.
+
* In the original translation Kunzite and Zoisite were changed to be very close friends. When Zoisite died in episode 35 he told Kunzite that he had loved him "as a brother," although their romantic conversation in episode 29 was kept without any change. In the TV4 version, however, they were lovers as in the original.

* Usagi Tsukino's name was changed to "Bunny" for the television broadcast, but her real name was kept in the VHS and DVD versions.
+
* Death Phantom was not Wiseman's real identity, but rather his master who was never shown on screen.
 +

 +
* Haruka Tenou and Michiru Kaiou's relationship was toned down.
 +

 +
* In episode 103, Rei called Maya Tohno "sir" when they first met. Usagi, Ami, Makoto, and Minako thought that Maya was male and disguised himself as female.
 +

 +
* Tamasaburou and Fisheye were changed to be females, though in episode 140 Fisheye was still male; this led fans to speculate that "she" was able to change her sex like some species of fish.
 +

 +
* Hotaru did not refer to Haruka and Michiru as her parents.
 +

 +
* In the first season, the previews at the beginning of the episode were moved to after the opening. The next episode previews were removed completely in all seasons. When TV4 reaired the first season, the previews were left intact, but were untranslated.

* In the first episode, Sailor V was called "tajemnicza czarodziejka" (mysterious enchantress), but in episodes 4 and 21 it was changed to "czarodziejka z Księżyca," the same as Sailor Moon's name, which confused viewers.
+
* In the first season, the opening originally used for episodes 2-26 was used throughout the whole season, while only the sequence for "Heart Moving" was used as an ending. Both were played with instrumental versions of the original songs. In R, both openings and the ending were used, though they were played with instrumental versions of the original songs. The only exception was the special opening used in episode 89, which was shown without any changes. In S, the only opening shown was that used in episodes 111-127, which featured many characters that appeared later in the series and thus spoiled the plot for viewers. The ending was kept, though in episodes 92-110 the song was changed to "Otome no Policy." None of the openings or endings were left intact in the SuperS season. Instead, they first used the opening from S and later changed to the second opening of R. The ending was changed to the one used in S and later an unaltered version of the first season's first opening. In Stars, the opening and ending were instrumental during the Nehellenia arc and later were left untouched. The special ending used in the last episode was kept. During the first season's run on TV4, all openings and ending were left untouched, with vocals and Japanese lyrics on the bottom of the screen.

* Youmas were called variously: the most often used term was wojownicy zła (warriors of evil). The other used terms were wysłannicy Królestwa Ciemności (envoys of Kingdom of Darkness) or demony zła (demons of evil). These term were often used in Plural, even if in the original version the speaking person was using Singular.
+
* The eyecatches were present only in the R season.

* In the first episodes Jadeite was called "Jedi".
+
Names
 +
* The Sailor Senshi individually were called "czarodziejki" (enchantresses), and as a group were called "wojowniczki" (female warriors). For the first two seasons and the first part of Sailor Moon S, however, Sailor Jupiter's name remained "Jupiter" instead of being translated into Polish. Sailor Uranus' name was changed to "Uranos" in episode 92, but in all following episodes it was correctly translated as "Uran."

* Nephrite's name was pronounced "Neflite".
+
* In the first episode, Sailor V was called "tajemnicza czarodziejka" (mysterious enchantress), but in episodes 4 and 21 it was changed to "czarodziejka z Księżyca," the same as Sailor Moon's name, which confused viewers. In the TV4 version she was called "Czarodziejka V" (Enchantress V).

* Kunzite and Zoisite were changed to be very close friends. When Zoisite died in episode 35 he told Kunzite that he had loved him "as a brother."
+
* Usagi Tsukino's name was changed to "Bunny" for the television broadcast, but her real name was kept in the VHS and DVD versions.

* The Ayakashi Sisters' names were changed to Kermesite, Beruchite, Kalaverite, and Petzite.

* Rei's name was pronounced "Rai."

* At first, Chibiusa's civilian name was "Bunny," just like her mother's name. Beginning in episode 61, however, she was called "Chibiusa" with no explanation of her nickname.
+
* Hikawa Shrine's name was completely retained in first seasons, because the translator did not realize that "shrine" is not part of the place's name. Later it was correctly translated as "świątynia Hikawa."

* Petzite's attack Dark Thunder was changed to "Czarne grzmoty, do roboty" (Black thunder, to work).
+
* The word for Youma was often translated differently. The term used most often was was "wojownicy zła" (warriors of evil), but others included "wysłannicy Królestwa Ciemności" (envoys of Kingdom of Darkness) or "demony zła" (demons of evil). The phrases were also often plural, even if in the original version the speaker was referring to a single entity. In the TV4 version they were called "demony" (demons) or simply "potwory" (monsters). The Seven Great Youma were called "diabły" (devils) and some of them had the original Japanese names.

* Death Phantom was not Wiseman's real identity, but rather his master who was never shown on screen.
+
* In the first episodes Jadeite was called "Jedi."

Transformations and Attacks
The translations of the transformations and attacks, especially for Sabão Spray, Crescent Beam, and Submarine Reflection, were unpopular with Polish fans, as they criticized them for having names unrelated to the original names and for sounding "childish."

* Polsat considered not airing episodes 196-[[Usagi's Love! Sailor Moon in Poland refers to the Sailor Moon translations and merchandise released in Poland.

Anime

The anime was adapted into Polish from the French dub, and was given a voiceover translation, with the Japanese voices still audible in the background, rather than a true re-dub. It aired under the title Czarodziejka z Księżyca (Enchantress from the Moon) on the TV station Polsat from September 6, 1995 until 2000. "Make up! Sailor Senshi" and "Ami's First Love" will be officially released in Poland by Anime Eden in 2015-2016 along with the three movies (dubbed).

The anime began airing again on the channel TV4 on December 1, 2011, this time under the title Sailor Moon - Czarodziejka z Księżyca, with a new translation and voice-over.

The Polish publisher Anime Eden will dub the Sailor Moon movies and specials. On August 7, 2015 they released Sailor Moon R: The Movie and Make up! Sailor Senshi, and on December 21, 2015 Sailor Moon S: The Movie, all with Polish dubbing, Polish subtitles, and Japanese dubbing.

Censorship and Changes

 • Episodes 45, 46, and 133 were never aired by Polsat or Polsat 2. The first two were later aired by TV4.
 • In the original translation Kunzite and Zoisite were changed to be very close friends. When Zoisite died in episode 35 he told Kunzite that he had loved him "as a brother," although their romantic conversation in episode 29 was kept without any change. In the TV4 version, however, they were lovers as in the original.
 • Death Phantom was not Wiseman's real identity, but rather his master who was never shown on screen.
 • Tamasaburou and Fisheye were changed to be females, though in episode 140 Fisheye was still male; this led fans to speculate that "she" was able to change her sex like some species of fish.
 • Hotaru did not refer to Haruka and Michiru as her parents.
 • In the first season, the previews at the beginning of the episode were moved to after the opening. The next episode previews were removed completely in all seasons. When TV4 reaired the first season, the previews were left intact, but were untranslated.
 • In the first season, the opening originally used for episodes 2-26 was used throughout the whole season, while only the sequence for "Heart Moving" was used as an ending.
 • The eyecatches were present only in the R season.

Names

 • The Sailor Senshi individually were called "czarodziejki" (enchantresses), and as a group were called "wojowniczki" (female warriors).
 • In the first episode, Sailor V was called "tajemnicza czarodziejka" (mysterious enchantress), but in episodes 4 and 21 it was changed to "czarodziejka z Księżyca," the same as Sailor Moon's name, which confused viewers. In the TV4 version she was called "Czarodziejka V" (Enchantress V).
 • Usagi Tsukino's name was changed to "Bunny" for the television broadcast, but her real name was kept in the VHS and DVD versions.
 • Rei's name was pronounced "Rai."
 • Hikawa Shrine's name was completely retained in first seasons, because the translator did not realize that "shrine" is not part of the place's name. Later it was correctly translated as "świątynia Hikawa."
 • The word for Youma was often translated differently.
 • In the first episodes Jadeite was called "Jedi."
 • Nephrite's name was pronounced "Neflite."
 • At first, Chibiusa's civilian name was "Bunny," just like her mother's name. Beginning in episode 61, however, she was called "Chibiusa" with no explanation of her nickname.
 • The Sailor Starlights were called "Gwiezdna Czarodziejka Walki" (Star Enchantress of Fighting), "Gwiezdna Czarodziejka Ocalenia" (Star Enchantress of Salvation), and "Gwiezdna Czarodziejka Swobody" (Star Enchantress of Freedom).

Transformations and Attacks

The translations of the transformations and attacks from Polsat version, especially for Sabão Spray, Crescent Beam, and Submarine Reflection, were unpopular with Polish fans, as they criticized them for having names unrelated to the original names and for sounding "childish."

Trivia

 • Polsat considered not airing episodes 196-200 due to many onscreen deaths, as well as Sailor Moon and Galaxia being naked in the finale. They were aired though, because they were the series' finale.
 • Zoisite was going to be female, but the idea was dropped because the translator felt that it would be straying too far from the original.
