Sailor Moon in Portugal

Sailor Moon in Portugal refers to the Portuguese dub of the Sailor Moon anime, which was renamed Navegante da Lua (a direct translation to Portuguese). It was made in the Novaga studio and directed by António Semedo and Fernanda Figueiredo. The anime was broadcast in its entirety in 1996 by S.I.C. Network, then in 2000 by T.V.I. Batatoon, and finally in 2002 Canal Panda aired Sailor Moon S, Sailor Moon SuperS, and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars. The complete series was later rebroadcast by Canal Panda beginning in March 2011.

Changes

Luna and Zirconia were male, while Artemis and Rhett Butler were female. Fisheye remained male in this version. Zoisite's gender frequently changed, but the voice actor was male.

Opening and Ending Sequences

In the Portuguese version, neither "Moonlight Densetsu" nor "Sailor Star Song" were used in the opening sequences. Instead, "Heart Moving" was remade with new instrumental and Portuguese vocals. This new song, which was referred to as "Luna Luna" (though never officially named), was performed by Mafalda Shacchetti, and used for the opening of all five seasons. The ending songs were replaced by an instrumental version of that song as well.
