The Silence Glaive, also known as the Scythe of Silence (沈黙の鎌), was a polearm weapon carried by Sailor Saturn. It was used in the majority of her attacks and appeared in the anime, manga, musicals, and video games.

The Silence Glaive was a symbol of the end of all things. When dropped without words, it directly harnessed the power of Sailor Saturn's most powerful attack which could cause the entirely of a planet to turn into dust. This move was performed to its fullest extent once in the manga, during the time of the Silver Millennium after the fall of the Moon Kingdom.

In the anime, Sailor Saturn's ultimate attack using the Silence Glaive was a double edged sword, as using it would also result in her own death.

Trivia

In Roman mythology, Saturnus is the god of riches and harvest; hence, he wields a long scythe that destroys and brings in the harvest, making space for new crops. Thus he is also associated with destruction and rebirth. This is why the Silence Glaive looks similar to an upright scythe.
