Talk:Death Debu Re

Isn't he just "Debu Re"... there's no "desu" in his name during the Stage call. I think its some sort of pun.

and also there are (-) on the end of their names, implying a long syllable so I think these articles should be changed too:

Death Raa, Death Ruu, Death) Rii and Debu Ree...

That's not a necessity in terms of Japanese romanization conventions, tho - it's valid to romanize it either way (there're also other ways to romanize it, & just using a single romaji vowel for that is even a more common practice). --210 00:47, 9 January 2011 (MST)
Even so, is there anywhere where he has been called "Death Debu Re" i thought it was just Debu Re, to fit in with the Desu Ra/Ri/Ru... At least its that in the first musical hes in.. Minakoaino 01:49, 9 January 2011 (MST)
I know lil about the musicals, but even when it's romanized as "Re," the actual pronunciation will still be done according to how the kana are written - it's just that the long vowel isn't shown in its romanized form & all. --210 06:09, 9 January 2011 (MST)
heh... no no. thats not what im talkign about anymore i understand that. I'm saying his name is "Debu Re" not "Death Debu Re" isn't it? Minakoaino 21:16, 9 January 2011 (MST)
I know he has this name for a reason, but I'm out of state right now so I don't have my references. Disagree with any name changes at least until I have time to find out why the article was given this title. Kerochan no Miko 23:40, 9 January 2011 (MST)
In the "Usagi Ai no Senshi e no Michi" video, during the curtain call, it reads

デスナイトメアI - デスナイトメアII - デスナイトメアIII - デスナイトメアIV (from left to right) next it reads:

デブレー - デスルー - デスリー - デスラー (from left to right)

rather than saying デスデブレー ... Minakoaino 17:19, 10 January 2011 (MST)

Again, I will look at my references when I'm home and find out why I named it that to begin with. Kerochan no Miko 23:49, 10 January 2011 (MST)
did you ever get around to finding out why its named like that? Muunraito-riarugaaru 22:59, 5 February 2011 (MST)

AHAH. I knew there was a reason, since it had been discussed in the past that he was just "Debu Re" on screen and in the musical's program book. The official website lists him as デスデブレー and we figured that trumped anything else. (Who knows, it could be from something in the revisions that were never released on video.)
