Talk:Moonie
From WikiMoon
That talk about mooniecodes reminded me... There were some fans who didn't approve of the term "moonie" because of the connection to the Unification Church and tried (mainly in vain) to establish other terms; afsm sometimes had long discussions on the subject. I can recall the terms "mooniac", "moonatic", and "lunarian" off the top of my head. Did any of them get any foothold to speak of? Any others? --Rosen 14:46, 15 August 2006 (MST)
- I don't think anyone really had any success...though I know that "Lunarian" became the name of the one of the factions in Otaku Wars. ^_^; Kerochan no Miko 15:35, 15 August 2006 (MST)
- I'm okay with the term "moonie" myself. However, I consider it to be case-sensitive, except at the beginning of a sentence. -- DENelson83 17:54, 15 August 2006 (MST)
- Well, then they'd hardly merit separate articles (but maybe the Otaku Wars should have one, btw...). --Rosen 00:19, 16 August 2006 (MST)
- There are probably going to be a number of articles which are more closely connected to AFSM than the larger fandom. (Mamoru is Setsuna comes to mind, and of course Otaku Wars.) Perhaps we should do an AFSM category in fandom?--WikiSysop 00:40, 16 August 2006 (MST)
- Probably a good idea to have the category. And I've been meaning to write an OW! article for ages, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Kerochan no Miko 07:26, 16 August 2006 (MST)
