Pegasus was the favourite horse of Helios and the two were not the same being.

Manga Pegasus[edit]

At the very end of the Dream story, Helios actually summons Pegasus as a separate being, calling him his favorite horse (Chibimoon even makes the "prince riding a white horse" comment). Though I don't remember any explanation of whether it's somehow the same Pegasus that he transformed into or not.

I don't know how to deal with this bit of info because it requires knowing what was different between the two versions, which in turn requires copypasting most of what is currently in Helios's article - and I don't think this would be a good idea. --YnK 02:43, 3 August 2011 (MST)

He summons a pegasus, but there's never anything said about whether that was the same pegasus he was turned into &c. Kerochan no Miko 10:58, 3 August 2011 (MST)

Horn = Golden Crystal?[edit]

I'm confused. This article states that the Golden Crystal and Pegasus' horn are the same thing. However, according to the second trivia note here, the horn "was still present even after Queen Nehellenia took the Crystal"... plot hole, maybe? I know for sure that in the manga the Crystal was in Mamoru's body, and it simply emerged when Sailor Moon's own Crystal became the "Silver Moon Crystal", but I don't remember all the details of the SuperS season. I'd check the episode myself but I don't have time right now; maybe tomorrow. In the meantime, any thoughts? Silver 12:29, 25 May 2012 (MST)

When Nehellenia extracts the crystal, the horn is still present - but it's also visibly different, lacking its usual shine. That scene makes it look more like the crystal was inside the horn... except that's not what Pegasus said back in ep.162 ("僕のこの角こそが神聖なるエナジーを発するゴールデン・クリスタル", or something like that - even if I misheard something, he definitely talks about his horn being the crystal, not containing it). Not strictly a plot hole, probably the writers just got lazy, or maybe they decided that Nehellenia actually ripping the horn off Helios's head would be too violent for kids. --YnK 13:10, 25 May 2012 (MST)
Ah, I remember now. Also, in many other episodes prior to that one, Zirconia constantly reminds the Amazon Trio that the Crystal is Pegasus' horn. I'm going to expand the Trivia note on Helios' article because right now it's a bit obscure and can lead to confusion. I'm not sure if it should be noted here as well, though, since Nehellenia took the Crystal from Helios in his humanoid form, not as Pegasus. Silver 16:25, 27 May 2012 (MST)
