Uh, I guess so. To be honest, I kind of prefer Sailor Senshi over senshi since it's more specific (I've heard it argued that Tuxedo Mask is a senshi, but not a Sailor Senshi). Senshi/Soldier/Warrior

I take issue with using "Warrior". "Soldier" is obviously the official translation used by Takeuchi-sensei and the anime and manga. The only exception is PGSM. ADV is the only place to use the "Warrior" translation, and they're littered with mistakes.--Sailor Biccy 18:18, 23 July 2007 (MST)

It's a translation of the meaning of the term "戦士", & in no way it's pretending to be "official." You're right regarding the official translation of the term, which I think isn't an accurate one & hence I used the other one. I've always wanted to ask this: did you ever reach a consensus (not here, obviously) as to whether we should use "Soldier" or "Warrior" as the translation for Senshi? I personally prefer Warrior but since Soldier is the official translation, I don't have a problem with using it when necessary, of course. However, and since I like consistency, I've been using this system myself: Senshi as the main term, Soldier in official translations (lyrics, act titles, etc.) and Warrior as the more correct translation of the kanji "戦士" (usually in parentheses). But if you don't have a problem with using the three of them at the same time, then that's okay and I'll just drop it. Silver 19:19, 23 April 2011 (MST)

I would really rather be consistent about our translation of it rather than having "warrior" in some places and "soldier" in others - though there's the "Guardian" thing with PGSM and the re-release of the manga that confuses issues. Not at all; the article is called "Sailor Senshi" after all. My point was that we should use "Senshi" as much as we can, and I was also asking whether we should use "Soldier" or "Warrior" when the English term is preferred. I just wanted to avoid things like "Warrior of War," as well as being consistent (not using "Sailor Senshi" on the anime section of an article and then either "Sailor Soldier" or "Sailor Warrior" on the manga section of that same article, for example). I changed the "literal meaning" part on the Outer Senshi's articles because, while the names/descriptions they give of their planets are similar to the actual names of the planets in Japanese, they aren't exactly the same, and they even use different kanji (for example, instead of "天王星," Uranus says "天空の星"). Parallel Senshi
