Talk:Yoko Ishida
the Japanese version of the 70s Western classic pop Sugar Baby Love? I admit that my Japanese isn't my best, but the only "70s Western classic" with that name I can find is by the Rubettes, and the lyrics for that really don't seem to match the Sugar OP... - The Japanese might not follow the original lyrics in the Japanese version. It's not an uncommon practice. And "Sugar Baby Love" only comes from my distant memory, I could've got the wrong Western song title (but the original lyrics did contain those 3 words - that I'm quite sure). 210 19:25, 10 September 2006 (MST)
- I'm unfamiliar with it but when I do a Google search the only songs I find are the Snow Fairy Sugar one and the 70s one by the Rubettes. What's your source for this information? Kerochan no Miko 19:40, 10 September 2006 (MST)
- My memory, and the only part of it that I'm not 100% sure is the original song title (tho I think it's likely that way). 210 20:38, 10 September 2006 (MST)
- Ok, I've googled it myself & I think it's the Rubettes song, even tho I don't know about that group. And the original song title is correct. 210 21:08, 10 September 2006 (MST)
- Okay, but what's your source for the information that Yoko Ishida's song is supposed to be a Japanese version of the Rubettes song? Kerochan no Miko 21:10, 10 September 2006 (MST)
^ They got the same melody! Even tho the arrangement is very diff. I first heard it at a Gamers branch store in Ikebukuro - I was like bursting into tears!! 210 21:14, 10 September 2006 (MST)
- Then why didn't you just say that? I found it on YouTube and yes, I agree that's definitely the same song. Kerochan no Miko 21:20, 10 September 2006 (MST)
Thx for the Wiki link you added into this article, Kerochan! I've also noticed the "Trivia" section of the linked page! lol 210 21:42, 10 September 2006 (MST)
