Luna visits the Game Center Crown at night to speak to her contact. He tells her that all five Sailor Senshi will soon meet, and that she should tell them the truth about her mission.

Later that night, Luna gathers Usagi, Ami, Rei, and Makoto at the Hikawa Shrine. She tells them that she was sent from the Moon, and that the princess they are seeking is a descendant from the Moon Kingdom. She says that they are certain to find the princess, and must protect her when they do. Meanwhile, in the Dark Kingdom, Kunzite observes the four Rainbow Crystals they have obtained. Zoisite promises to get the remaining three.

The next day, Usagi sees Naru and Umino sitting together. She says they look like a couple, but Naru denies it, saying that although she likes Umino's company, she doesn't have a special feeling for him. Usagi decides to help Umino win Naru's heart, and advises him to change his image. When he still doesn't understand, she tells him to be more like Tuxedo Mask, and describes her hero to him. Umino says that he will win Naru's heart by becoming Tuxedo Mask.

As Usagi and Naru walk home after school, they are followed by a mysterious caped figure. When a dog starts barking at them, Tuxedo Umino Mask springs forth to save them. Although he fails to punish the dog and is hit by the dog's owner, he introduces himself to the girls then flees. Later, he tries unsuccessfully to prevent the girls from entering the Crown Game Center, warning them that they will spend all of thier money there. Inside, Motoki offers Usagi and Naru two free tickets to the Redman show. Usagi takes the tickets, and tells Naru that she should go with Umino. Naru reluctantly agrees, to Umino's delight.

In the Dark Kingdom, Zoisite successfully modifies the Black Crystal so that it will transform ordinary humans into Youma. He materializes outside Naru's house, intending to turn her into a Youma and lure Sailor Moon out. However, he sees Tuxedo Umino Mask at Naru's door. Believing that Tuxedo Mask has worked out his plan, Zoisite withdraws. Umino sees him disappear, and is terrified. Naru finally answers the door, and Umino asks what time they should meet tomorrow. Exasperated, Naru tells him to meet her at twelve o'clock.

The next day, Usagi and Luna go to the amusement park to check on Naru and Umino's progress. They seem to be enjoying themselves, and Naru is glad that Umino is not wearing his Tuxedo Umino Mask outfit (although he has it in his backpack, just in case). Zoisite is also there, and sees Naru. He fires a beam from the Black Crystal at her, but misses and hits the actor playing Redman. Redman transforms into the Youma Akan, and starts firing expanding Marimo balls at the crowd, trapping them. Usagi tries to take Naru to safety, while Tuxedo Umino Mask arrives to confront the Youma. Naru tries to talk Umino out of it, but he goes ahead anyway, saying he must protect her. While Usagi transforms into Sailor Moon, Naru tries to help Umino but is trapped inside another Marimo ball. Zoisite appears before Sailor Moon, and orders her to hand over the Yellow Rainbow Crystal, or he will let the people inside the Marimo balls suffocate. Sailor Moon reluctantly hands it over, but Tuxedo Mask appears and knocks it from Zoisite's hand. As the two start to battle, Sailor Moon grabs the crystal and goes to attack the Youma. As she does, she drops the crystal. Meanwhile, from inside the Marimo ball, Naru sees Tuxedo Mask fighting, and believes it is Umino.

Sailor Moon incapacitates the Youma, then returns it back to human form. The Marimo balls disappear, but Zoisite grabs the Rainbow Crystal and disappears. Tuxedo Mask says he will get it back, but that he will keep it when he does.

While Naru finally seems to have given in to Umino's charms, Usagi is chastised by Luna for letting Zoisite have the Rainbow Crystal, and wonders what Tuxedo Kamen's true intentions are.
