Edwards was an anime-only character who appeared in episode 108 of the Sailor Moon anime. He was an elderly British gentleman who had built a fortune for himself, hoping it would give him a happy future, but when he completed this dream he had no family. Instead, he took to inviting promising young exchange students to parties at his large mansion on the edge of town, as he saw them as his future. He mentioned in the episode that he took daily walks near Mamoru's neighborhood.
In the English dub, his nationality was changed to French.
