Janelyn was a famous figure skater who, along with her partner, Misha, was possessed by Kunzite and forced into becoming part of a Dark Kingdom plan to find Sailor Moon. The two figure skaters were to lure people to a skating rink and search for the girl skilled enough at skating to be Princess Serenity's current incarnation. Their trap failed to snare the Princess, however, as Misha believed Makoto was the Princess and attempted to charm her instead.
Janelyn grew angry when she saw Misha paying attention to Makoto, and when she confronted them she transformed into her Youma self. Misha joined her and the two of them attacked Makoto, but Sailor Moon arrived and intervened. With the help of Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Moon was able to heal the pair and return them to normal.
