Phantom Ace was a Codename: Sailor V-only character. He was a TV character played by the actor and idol Ace Saijyo. Minako developed a crush on him after seeing him throw sugar-free candies that would reverse the effects of deVleene's candies in chapter 9. He seemed to take on his role as Phantom Ace for real so that he could help Sailor V, and had an attack called Delicious Four-Card Shot. However, it was later revealed that he was actually a disguise of Danburite, the leader of the Dark Agency and reincarnation of Adonis. He used his playing card deck to read Sailor V her love fortune once before his identity was revealed, and again just before he died.
