Talk:Amazoness Quartet
Live Where[edit]
Question for you all... in the anime flashback, the Quartet are seen in a slightly odd-looking jungle. I always assumed this was their home, but I've seen one source claim that this was meant to be Elysion. Any thoughts? Dooky 09:42, 14 June 2006 (MST)
- I don't remember anything from the anime that would imply that was Elysion. Like you, I'd always just thought they lived in that jungle. Kerochan no Miko 13:10, 14 June 2006 (MST).
If I remember correctly, the Quartet lived in Elysion, but it's never stated directly. It makes sense to me that they would live there as they were destined to be Chibi-usa's senshi. All I remember for certain is the Quartet says that their home was destroyed by. I'll try and watch those episodes in the following days.--DarshaAssant 20:47, 15 May 2007 (MST)
- Nope, they lived in the Rain forest, not Elysion.--Hitsuji Kinno 11:18, 12 July 2007 (MST)
Spelling?[edit]
Why are we using this spelling? To me, Amazones Quartetto makes more sense. Same goes for Sailor Quartet, which should be Sailor Quartetto. Elanorea 04:20, 11 August 2006 (MST)
- Hahaha, this old chestnut! Well, I could go on for ages about why I personally think that Amazoness is the intended spelling (and even Ian Miller has conceded that Quartetto may really be Quartet), but it doesn't really matter what I think: when there's confusion or doubt over a name's origin, we go with the most commonly used variant, which is, without a shadow of a doubt, Amazoness.
- That being said, it'd be wrong to totally ignore the spelling debate, and one of the earliest decisions taken when the wiki wes set up was that we would have a page dealing with all disputed names. The Amazoness/Amazones debate is certainly amongst the most famous of these, so that will undoubtedly be included. dooky 05:52, 11 August 2006 (MST)
- A toy box has it so it's Amazoness Quartet, making Ian Miller wrong. Sorry... but Engrish doesn't always make sense. Look at the shirts on Komatsu-san in Bambino... none of them make sense.--Hitsuji Kinno 11:16, 12 July 2007 (MST)
- But they might make sense in Japan. lol We also have "Chinglish" in China, & it makes sense to us. lol --210 19:36, 12 July 2007 (MST)
