Talk:Kunzite
Does anyone have a source for the Kunzite name legal issue? I remember reading it somewhere but I don't know where and I'd like to include a reference. GracieLizzie 12:02, 6 June 2006 (MST)
- I've never heard it before and am really curious too.--WikiSysop 12:03, 6 June 2006 (MST)
- I've found one mention of it at SMU. But I am not sure if that's where I read it. GracieLizzie 12:15, 6 June 2006 (MST)
- This site reckons that the spelling of Zoisite was changed because that mineral is also named after a person. I dunno though... Nephrite and Jadeite had their spellings changed too, and I'm pretty sure they're not named after people. I recall reading more about this subject a few years ago, but I'm buggered if I can remember the source. Personally though, I reckon Kunzite's name was changed simply because the first syllable sounds a bit like a rude word. Dooky 15:49, 6 June 2006 (MST)
- Maybe it's just me, but it took me a couple minutes to figure out what rude word Kunzite's name sounds like, and even then I don't think it's all that similar. Seems like a bit of a stretch. Kerochan no Miko 11:31, 3 September 2006 (MST)
- While I'd have agreed with you six-months or so ago, when my Mother saw an original episode of classic she commented on it sounding that way. She keeps bringing it up if someone says kunzite on tv too (which, as she watches the Gem channel, is not uncommon). So I dunno, other people seem to think this too. Saitou Kun/Kun Saitou[edit]
Saitou is the family name of the disguises of Kunzite and Zoisite in the musicals, right? Aren't Izou and Kun are their given names not the other way around like it has on this article... Cartwheelingfiesta 01:33, 25 July 2011 (MST)
- Fixed. Kerochan no Miko 01:45, 25 July 2011 (MST)
Trained Zoisite?[edit]
Is there any official source that specifies that Zoisite was trained by Kunzite in the anime continuity? The only relevant details I can find in episodes are times when Zoisite asks Kunzite for advice or confides in him, as in episode 22, or works directly with him, as in episodes like 25 and 33/34, but there doesn't seem to be any mention of training there. He refers to him as "-sama", but this may simply indicate personal respect, or part of some sort of nebulously-defined ranking system among the Shitennou. Mitsukara (talk) 15:05, 1 July 2017 (MST)
