That Names table is huge, can't we separate it into subcategories or something? Silver 03:12, 9 April 2010 (MST)

I was thinking about doing that too but ran out of time last night. I'll poke at it later. Kerochan no Miko 11:02, 9 April 2010 (MST)

Wrong information[edit]

This page has wrong and incomplete information about Portugal's dub. I will improve it laterTemplarius 01 (talk) 20:44, 27 March 2018 (MST)

There isn't a single episode in Portugal's dub that mention Kenji Tsukino's name. He was always called dad. Also, Shingo and Ikuko never had a last name. Mamoru's last name - Chiba - was always pronouced with g or j making his last name being Giba or Jiba. Professor Tomoe was always called Doctor (Doutor) Tomoe in Portugal. VesVes is clearly called Besu-Besu, there's only one scene where PallaPalla called her VesVes in Portugal. I can put it down there but her main name was always Besu-Besu. I don't recall Fernanda Figueiredo being a single monster-of-the-day so I removed that info. On the other hand, Olga Lima was some monsters-of-the-day in Sailor Stars season so I add that info Templarius 01 (talk) 09:13, 28 March 2018 (MST)
I would like to clarify the anime's two names in Portugal. Portugal's eye catches were used by the official dub to present the name of the anime since S season. Fernanda Figueiredo (Usagi's voice atress) presented in every episode the official name alternately in each frame of the eye catch. So in one episode the name was presented as Sailor Moon/Navegante da Lua and in the next episode could be presented as Navegante da Lua/Sailor Moon. I would like to put this in the main article if I explained myself clearly. I would also like to add in the trivia the misspelling Navegantes da Lua: this term which means Sailor's Moon was mostly popularized in 2000 with Batatoon's TV host. The name is arguably wrong and since then was used by some people but it's important to note it was never ever used in the official dub. Most websites and core fans use the name correctly Sailor Moon or Navegante da Lua and even in the biography of dub actress Isabel Wolmar the name is correctly used Templarius 01 (talk) 09:33, 28 March 2018 (MST)
May I put this info again in the article? Was my explanation better?Templarius 01 (talk) 07:48, 29 March 2018 (MST)
I'm....not entirely sure what the edit comment ("I thought in keep the dub names only in the proper board/frame for everyone understand the direct translations. It's confusing read 'Sara's mom' and then look who is Sara below, for eg") means, but when listing the voice actors, they must be listed with the dub name of the character they played (so if they played "Sara's mom" they need to be listed as playing "Sara's mom" and not "Naru's mom") because that's the established style for this wiki. Please fix it. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 16:06, 28 March 2018 (MST)
Unlike Spain and Brazil's page, this one has two different ways of having mostly the same information: first the voice actors are listed in topics with their respective characters. And below we have the usual lists with original character's name and dub name together. I didn't changed that list since it's the established style in here as you say. The only thing I changed was the first information that has the portuguese voice actors listed in topics with their respective characters names. My thought was if someone who isn't familiar with portuguese or Portugal's dub names see the page and start reading it since the begining they don't know to whom those names refer because they aren't listed with the original name next to them. Did I explained myself better? If you still don't agree I will change it again, sure. I'm just trying to help readers and even avoid the repeated information that this page currently hasTemplarius 01 (talk) 21:32, 28 March 2018 (MST)
You changed that and you need to change it back. Period. The actress didn't play "Usagi Tsukino" because "Usagi Tsukino" did not exist in the dub, only "Bunny Tsukino" did. I don't know how I can explain this any more clearly. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 07:01, 29 March 2018 (MST)
Okay, it's done. Could you please be more comprehensive? You said I'm....not entirely sure what the edit comment [...] means so I was trying to explain it to you. I wasn't trying to impose my point of view above anything. I was thinking that maybe we could had another solution like add the actors names into the lists behind. That way, all information would be just in one place and not repeated as it is right now. It's just an ideaTemplarius 01 (talk) 07:48, 29 March 2018 (MST)
I...don't think "comprehensive" is the word you want, because what you asked makes no sense.
I realized that you were trying to do something that made sense to you, however, I was telling you that this is how our wiki style works and that is not up for argument. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 11:48, 29 March 2018 (MST)
