The book itself said that Amy had "the highest score in Japan." Therefore, Amy is in Japan. Therefore, the books are set in Japan. The fact that there was a nearby town named "Northridge," in that case, is just another example of things in the novels that don't fit in the novels, like all the Backstreet Boys and Doritos and the SATs and whatnot. Since the name "Crossroads" appear as a town name already in book #1, which Lianne Sentar didn't write, I don't think she should be credited with using that town name. --Morinden 15:19, 23 July 2010 (MST)
