Akiyama is the family name of three anime-only characters:
- Higure Akiyama, the Home Economics teacher of Usagi, Ami, and Naru, appeared in "Dream of a White Dress! Usagi Becomes a Bride" and was one of Nephrite's victims.
- Miharu Akiyama, a young swordswoman who was befriended by Chibiusa, appeared in "Try for the Best of Japan! The Worries of a Beautiful Girl Swordsman" and was one of Tiger's Eye's targets.
- Fuyumi Akiyama was the above girl's mother.
