DeBrine |
DeBrine was a Codename: Sailor V only character. She was one of the villains Sailor V faced, and an agent of the Dark Agency. By introducing addictive, fattening Rainbow Chocolates into Japan just before Valentine's Day, DeBrine managed to fatten up the majority of the female population just in time to advertise a brand-new weight-loss course called Este DeBrine that was guaranteed to help women gain the ideal body. Panicked women who wanted to be attractive for Valentine's Day took Este de Brine by storm, none of them suspecting that DeBrine's special weight-loss pods actually drained their energy instead of their fat. By placing illusions on her mirrors that made her clients think they were losing weight, DeBrine had the perfect scam worked out until Minako accidentally stumbled upon her.
Minako disguised herself as a beautiful secretary and joined forces with Special Officer Toshio Wakagi in order to sneak into Este de Brine, but the pair stumbled into her energy-draining room instead. Minako knocked Wakagi senseless with a heavy pot and transformed into Sailor V, but was almost defeated by DeBrine's Rainbow Chocolate Attack. Fortunately, Minako managed to muster the self-control to Sailor V Chop DeBrine, stunning her long enough for a fatal Crescent Slender Beam.
Although DeBrine's private gym disappeared upon her death, the weight she had given the women of Japan did not, much to Minako's dismay. Even the Crescent Shower of Love could not reverse the effects of DeBrine's plot, though the diet tips and diet candies handed out by Kaitou Ace proved much more effective.
Trivia
- A nearly identical plot was devised by Jadeite in episode 4 of the Sailor Moon anime.
