Motoki Furuhata ran the Game Center Crown. In the anime and manga, he had blond hair and blue eyes, and was hardly ever seen without his work uniform on. Usagi thought he was Tuxedo Mask for most of the first season, and had a crush on him. In both the anime and manga, Makoto also developed a brief crush on him, as did Minako in Codename: Sailor V, and even Ami showed some feelings for him in the manga. He was friends with Mamoru Chiba in the anime and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.

In the anime, he and Mamoru attended K.O. University. In the manga, he attended K University while Mamoru was in high school, and was aware of the identities of the Inner Senshi after "Endou" (evil Mamoru) destroyed the part of Game Center Crown which contained the Senshi's secret base.
