There are several links and references to "Anza Oyama" (single O) in other articles. I guess a redirect is in order, but which spelling should be considered the "right" one here? --Rosen 12:19, 7 August 2006 (MST)

Ah, those tricky long vowels. When there's a controversy like this, we either go with the most commonly used form or the actor's preferred romanisation. Google ranks Oyama first, then Ohyama and Ooyama (Wikipedia uses Oyama, as do most fan sites). However, her homepage uses Ohyama, so tthere's something to be said for that spelling too... dooky 12:26, 7 August 2006 (MST)

(not exactly sure how to reply to comments here, so bear with me) I changed the page to be Ooyama, since it seemed to be a better way to romanize 大山 , and sera-myu.com has that instead of Ohyama. The box sets have it as Ōyama. Generally, she has just been going by ANZA recently, so any newer CDs wouldn't be much help. Michie 15:54, 7 August 2006 (MST)

That's the trouble with romanisation: in many cases, sites will just go by their own rules. I personally recommend Oyama (the most popular) or Ohyama (which does have some evidence of being official), but whatever suits people best, I'm happy with. dooky 16:03, 7 August 2006 (MST)
