In the anime, the Door of Space-Time leads them to the Corridor of Space-Time (pictured below). I was thinking about writing this article on the Fourth Dimension, but would said corridor be the same as the manga's 'Fourth Dimension'?--Sakky 18:45, 12 November 2006 (MST)

Corridor of Space-Time in the Anime
Actually, I was of the assumption that the Time-Space Corridor - and the Time-Space Door - was located in the underworld. At least, that's what I read from Ian Miller's translations from the R anime guide on his website, since it involved the whole knotty "Pluto Saturn Mix Up" thing. -The Nani Mouse :)
I'm not knowledgeable enough to answer your question, but if they're the same, a redirect page should be created. --210 18:55, 12 November 2006 (MST)
Okay, I will make the Fourth Dimension page and include that it is called the Corridor of Space-Time in the anime. If something else comes up, we can change it. Also, I got a clearer screen shot.  :D --Sakky 19:01, 12 November 2006 (MST)
I've also made a Corridor of Space-Time redirect page. --210 23:13, 12 November 2006 (MST)

Underworld/Fourth Dimension[edit]

I have to bring up this discussion again because I'm confused about something. Are the Underworld and the Fourth Dimension/Time-Space Corridor the same thing, or is the Underworld the place where the Space-Time Door is located? In the Materials Collection Naoko simply called "underworld" the place (so to speak) between times, which doesn't say much, but unfortunately I don't have my manga here to check it; I wish Alex Glover's translations were still available. In the meantime, any thoughts? Silver (talk) 07:44, 7 October 2013 (MST)

Oh yes, I forgot Ian Miller had cited some of Alex Glover's lines about Pluto in his own site. These are very useful:
"I am the watcher of the space-time door, the guardian of the underworld. I am Sailor Pluto! And I will eliminate those who violate the law." -- Sailor Pluto, act 18.
"Sailor Pluto's mission and situation are entirely different from that of Princess Selenity's four guardian soldiers. She carries the blood of the god in charge of time, C[h]ronos. She lives between time, the solitary guardian of the door of the underworld. Time is the last inviolable territory. Since ages ago, the Door of Space-Time has been off-limits, and Sailor Pluto was the one who enforced that." -- King Endymion, act 19.
"Great guardian deity of time and space! My father C[h]ronos! Give me power! Close the door of the broken law! Dark Dome Close!" -- Sailor Pluto, act 33.
So the underworld and the dimension beyond the Space-Time Door are two different things, then? There's no mention of a "Fourth Dimension" term, though. I wonder where that came from. Silver (talk) 07:52, 7 October 2013 (MST)
I did some quick checking, and it looks like every time the manga used a term that Alex Glover and Kodansha translated as "space-time", Mixx called it "the fourth dimension". And the kanji that Sailor Pluto uses for "underworld" (冥土) isn't the same thing, and seems to refer to an actual realm of the dead. Sooooo they might be the same thing, they might not; fourth dimension is just an easy way to refer to the space-time corridor, I guess, and man it would be depressing if it were filled with dead people. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 17:50, 7 October 2013 (MST)
So it's a Mixx term then? Well, I can see the space-time connection with fourth dimension meaning "the unification of time and space as a four-dimensional continuum", but that's another story. I think we should rename this Corridor of Space-Time as per the anime term and tweak it accordingly, then create an Underworld article linking to the Space-Time Door one. And yes, I was also surprised to see the kanji used by Pluto to refer to the dimension she guards was 冥土 instead of 冥界. It's rare but not completely unusual since Sailor Uranus also uses different kanji to refer to the sky. In any case, I don't think 冥土 is a different place than the dimension where the Door is located, maybe Naoko simply likes to use different kanji for the sake of variety? Silver (talk) 03:06, 15 October 2013 (MST)
Mixx is the only place I can find it used, so I'm going to assume that's where it came from. Naoko definitely likes to use different kanji, but I think it's best not to try to throw a definite interpretation on the term since we don't have anything really solid. No objections to the rename. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 07:23, 15 October 2013 (MST)
Ok, renamed. Sorry, but I'm a little slow today and since we are discussing different, confused terms... when you say we should try not throw a definite interpretation on the term are you referring to "Underworld"? I think it's relevant enough to have its own article even if there's little info about it. Also, ignore the note about deleting Fourth Dimension because people will still search for that term and we need a redirect at least. Silver (talk) 08:45, 17 October 2013 (MST)
Yes, I meant "Underworld". There's absolutely no specifically canon information about it, except for the fact that Pluto mentioned it, and therefore any article we could make here would just be a rehash of what there might be on Wikipedia. I don't see a reason for an article. And no, I wasn't planning to delete the redirect for the reason stated. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 17:56, 17 October 2013 (MST)
When I proposed the Underworld article I was going to say that we should be reaaally careful in the wording in order not to cross the line between facts and speculation, since terms like this one (especially when related to the very mysterious Sailor Pluto and Saturn) can be very vague and obscure. However, in this case I thought it was relevant enough because in the manga (though not the anime) it is said to be the place Pluto guarded, where the Door was located, and it also suffered distortions referred to as "storms" when something that could change the course of history took place in the normal reality. It would be a small and concise article, but if you still think we don't need one I think we should at least mention something more detailed in Pluto's article, such as Naoko's brief notes from the Materials Collection.
BTW, sorry for not being able to answer in a timely manner. Silver (talk) 17:45, 20 October 2013 (MST)
There really isn't anything to say other than "Sailor Pluto mentioned being the guardian of the Underworld" which is already in her article, so...iirc the "storms" took place in the time/space corridor, not the Underworld. Kerochan no Miko (talk) 18:07, 20 October 2013 (MST)
