This was the only episode in which someone other than Usagi used the Disguise Pen; in this case, Minako used it to become a poor imitation of Sailor Moon. It was the first time it had appeared since episode 52, and it never appeared again after this episode.

This was the second time that someone masqueraded as Sailor Moon; the first time was in episode 33.

Sailor Jupiter's Supreme Thunder attack used non-standard footage in this episode. The same animation was used previously in the Sailor Moon R movie, against the Dahlians on Fiore's asteroid.

Her product warranty card showed that Cenicienta was made by "Sasaki," which could be a reference to Noriyo Sasaki, the writer of this episode.

"Cenicienta" is the Spanish name for Cinderella, which is why the Daimon in this episode was associated with glass slippers.

As Usagi, Haruka, and Michiru were en route to the Tokyo Tower, "Ai no Senshi" could be heard in the background. In the first English dub the song was translated for the television broadcast of the episode, making it one of the very few instances where a Japanese song was translated into English instead of being simply replaced with a new one; in the uncut VHS and DVD releases, as well as the second English dub, the song was left in Japanese. Though the English version of the song was never released on a soundtrack CD, it has been dubbed "Tear Our Hearts in Two" by fans. In the Catalan dub the song was replaced with ""Rashiku" Ikimasho." In the Hebrew and the second Korean dubs, the song was replaced with a translated version. In the French, Hungarian, German, Italian, Croatian, and the first Korean dubs, the song was removed completely without a replacement. In the Latin American Spanish dub dub the song was removed in the first broadcast, but it was re-added in future airings.

Also in the French and Hungarian dubs, some of the footage from Sailor Moon's standard "I will punish you" speech was cut out.

In the Latin American Spanish dub, when Kaolinite asked Sailor Venus if she was Sailor Moon, the audio was Noriko Uemura's voice instead of Liza Willert's voice.

In the Korean dub, Cenicienta's product warranty card and the banners surrounding the false Sailor Moon were blank, and when Usagi transformed into Sailor Moon, the normal Moon Cosmic Power, Make Up animation also included footage from Moon Prism Power, Make Up and the first opening sequence of the Sailor Moon R season.
