Shiho Niiyama (新山志保), born March 21, 1970, in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan, was a voice actress who played Kou Seiya/Sailor Star Fighter in the Stars season and Fuyumi Akiyama in the SuperS season of the Sailor Moon anime. Some of her anime roles included Deedlit in Record of Lodoss War, Momiji Kagariya in Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko, Rie Shibusawa in Battle Skipper, and Suou Takamura in Clamp School Detectives.
Shiho Niiyama was diagnosed with leukemia in 1998, and died of internal bleeding following pneumonia in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Japan, on February 7, 2000, at the age of 29.
Personal Trivia
- She was a good friend of Megumi Ogata. They first met while attending a music class. Rumi Kasahara also attended the class with them.
