English Name: Maker Star Power, Make Up
Performed by: Sailor Star Maker
Item Required: Sailor Change Star
First Used (anime): Dreams and Romance on a Star! Taiki's Transformation

Maker Star Power, Make Up was the transformation phrase that Kou Taiki used to transform into Sailor Star Maker. In the anime, there were two different sequences used for the transformation; the second, more elaborate one was used for the first (and only) time in episode 195.

In the first version, Taiki's Sailor Change Star appeared and the star on it began to glow. In a flash of light the brooch affixed itself to his chest. He transformed back into female form in a flash, then with another flash, appeared in full sailor fuku. She struck several poses, then ended in her final one.

In the second version, Taiki's Sailor Change Star appeared and the star on it began to glow. Three stars flashed by and Taiki began to spin slowly, transforming back into female form before golden energy rushed up her body, forming her sailor fuku.

Maker Star Power, Make Up in Crystal

In the Sailor Moon Crystal version, Taiki thrust her left arm into the air holding the Sailor Change Star and shouted "Maker Star Power, Make Up," as the star on the brooch glowed in purple light. A glowing multicolored star appeared at her feet and spun, as Taiki danced on top of it. She leapt into the air, then did several twirls and flips, and in a flash of a white, blue, purple, and green light, her school uniform changed into her sailor fuku. Sailor Star Maker, now wearing full sailor fuku with the Change Star affixed to her chest, landed on her feet and assumed her final pose. Although this transformation appeared repeatedly throughout Sailor Moon Cosmos, its full version was only used when Taiki transformed to fight Sailor Aluminum Seiren.

Trivia[edit]

  • The second version of this transformation was the only one of the Sailor Starlights' transformation sequences that was never shown with an ending pose, as it was cut off by their introductory speech.
