- Hotaru's destructive abilities were shown for the first time this episode.
- This episode featured the first instance of a Sailor Senshi detransforming voluntarily.
- The script implanted with a Daimon Egg was the same one Yuu Kazama was reading at the cafe, and for just a few frames, the Toei company logo was visible on its back.
- Kumiko Nishihara, who would later do the voice of Diana, made her first appearance in this episode voicing U-Tomodachi.
